Formen der Verbindlichkeit. Zur Normativität der Glaubenslehre jenseits des Dogmas.
Das, was die katholische Kirche mit dem Anspruch auf Verbindlichkeit zu glauben vorlegt, wird oft durch das Wort „Dogma“ gekennzeichnet. Seit dem 19. Jahrhundert ist dogmatisches Lehren zur bevorzugten Form avanciert, um die Verbindlichkeit der Glaubenslehre auszudrücken. Dogmatische Formen des Lehrens sind jedoch nur eine von vielen denkbaren Varianten, um Verbindlichkeitsansprüche in Glaubensfragen zu formulieren. Der Vortrag fragt in Auseinandersetzung mit Karl Rahner, Johann Baptist Metz und Walter Kasper, welche anderen Formen jenseits des Dogmas es gibt, um Verbindlichkeiten und Verbindendes ins Wort zu fassen.

Forms of Bindingness. On the Normativity of Doctrine Beyond Dogma
That which the Catholic Church presents for belief with a claim to binding authority is often characterized by the term „dogma.“ Since the 19th century, dogmatic teaching has emerged as the preferred mode for expressing the binding nature of doctrine. However, dogmatic forms of teaching represent merely one of many conceivable variants for articulating claims to authority in matters of faith. Engaging with the work of Karl Rahner, Johann Baptist Metz, and Walter Kasper, this lecture explores what other forms exist—beyond the scope of dogma—for giving voice to binding obligations and shared bonds.
